Katerina (Katina) Mountanos is an olive oil sommelier and Mediterranean lifestyle expert. She is the founder and CEO of Kosterina — a wellness brand centered around high antioxidant extra virgin olive oil and more broadly, the modern Mediterranean diet. Her mission at Kosterina is to help people live longer, more delicious lives and through Kosterina’s line of flavorful olive oils, velvety vinegars, high probiotic olives, and more, she continues to prove that healthy can also be delicious. Kosterina products are available online, at Whole Foods Market, Target, HEB, Crate & Barrel and soon, Walmart, among other national retailers. Katina has appeared on Good Morning America, the TODAY Show, and is often quoted in Real Simple, Modern Retail, Food & Wine. The Kosterina products she’s developed have won awards from Good Housekeeping, SELF, Better Homes & Gardens, Men’s Health, Tasting Table and the New York International Olive Oil Competition. Previously, Katina held executive roles at L’Oreal, Amazon, Walmart and several startups across the beauty, retail and ecommerce sectors. Katina holds degrees from NYU and Harvard Business School and she now lives in the New York City suburbs with her husband, 3 young children, Australian labradoodle and a lifetime supply of Greek extra virgin olive oil.
