Daniël van Gool

Daniël van Gool is the Vice President of Fulfillment Strategy and Solutions for Ahold Delhaize USA. In this role, Daniël leads the function that shapes the U.S. eCommerce fulfillment strategy, including ownership of all order-fulfillment technology, strategic partnerships in last mile, driving research, development and innovation and the ADUSA network capacity strategy.
With over 30 years of experience with the companies of Ahold Delhaize and more than 20
years working in grocery eCommerce, Daniël started his career at Albert Heijn in The
Netherlands. He worked in various store leadership roles for the brand, before joining
Albert Heijn’s Online division. With Albert Heijn Online, Daniël held various roles that
helped develop and mature the brand’s eCommerce strategy and fulfillment model.
In 2013, Daniël moved to the U.S. to join Peapod as part of an expatriate program to
exchange knowledge on eCommerce between Europe and the United States. He made
the decision to stay in the U.S. as Ahold Delhaize USA was standing up Peapod Digital
Labs, ADUSA’s former Digital shared services organization, where Daniël held various
leadership roles driving ADUSA’s rapid eCommerce growth.
Daniël is a guest lecturer on Omnichannel Strategy at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology’s MicroMasters in Supply Chain Management program, and at Cornell’s
Omnichannel Leadership program.
