VP, Food Walmart Connect

Brett Wein is Vice President of Food, Walmart Connect. Previously, he served as Group Director, Head of General Merchandise, Fashion & Strategic Growth Verticals, working across brands of all sizes — from large suppliers to emerging brands, agencies, and API partners. Brett joined Walmart Connect in 2023 after serving as Smartly’s Chief Sales Officer, where he focused on developing and deepening global relationships with advertiser in the social API space. Prior to Smartly, Brett was an early executive at Snapchat, where he was on the core team leading and building the company’s advertising business from the ground up. Before Snapchat, Brett was one of the first 500 employees at Facebook where his team helped launch Facebook / Meta into the advertising ecosystem. Brett also held leadership positions at Yahoo, Overture and Ask Jeeves earlier in his career. Brett earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, with a focus on English and Marketing. Originally from Philadelphia, Brett currently calls Darien, Connecticut home with his wife and four children.
