Steve Scales is a Partner & Managing Director in AlixPartners' Supply Chain and Operations practice with 20+ years of consulting experience specializing in distribution center operations, fulfillment strategy, automation, and logistics technology.

Steve has led operational improvement programs for some of the world's largest and most complex retail and grocery networks, including multi-site distribution center rollouts for major grocers in the U.S. and Europe, and produce flow transformations for large regional grocers. He has also overseen the design and delivery of highly automated distribution center start-ups and led the implementation of goods-to-person automation systems at major retailers.

Prior to AlixPartners, Steve was a Managing Director in the retail strategy group at Accenture (Kurt Salmon), where he led the firm's supply chain network strategy capability. He holds an MBA from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech.
