Samhita Karnati is the founder and CEO of Shelflife, the expiration intelligence platform for grocery retail. Shelflife captures expiration data across date-coded perishables, from receiving through sale, giving retailers real-time visibility into what is fresh, what is aging, and what is about to be lost. That visibility cuts the time spent on manual expiration tracking, reduces shrink, and recovers margin that would otherwise expire on the shelf. Shelflife is the first system to build a real-time expiration-to-sales dataset and is turning that data into a suite of tools to optimize in-store operations. Before founding Shelflife, Samhita was a data engineer and product manager at Handshake. She holds a degree in computer science from Princeton and an MBA from Wharton.
