Lydia Thacher
VP, Digital Commerce Dollar General
Lydia Thacher is Dollar General’s Vice President, Digital Commerce, leading growth through our digital channels and leveraging technology to innovate and disrupt traditional business models. In this role, she is responsible for developing and executing our digital strategy to enhance the customer experience and deepen loyalty, increase sales, enable retail media revenue growth and improve operational efficiency.
Lydia has been Serving Others since 2020, initially joining as a Senior Buyer. In 2021, she was promoted to Director, Digital & Site Merchandising before being promoted to Senior Director, Digital Merchandising & Commerce in 2022. She was promoted to her current role in 2025. Lydia has played a pivotal role in driving digital strategy and ecommerce growth, including leading our DoorDash partnership. As a testament to her leadership and valuable contributions, in 2024, Lydia was recognized as a Circle of Excellence winner.
Prior to Dollar General, Lydia held merchandising roles at Five Below, Hollar, Topline Corporation and ShoeDazzle.
Lydia earned her Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California Los Angeles.
