John Conlin
SVP of Merchandising, Food and Beverage Target
John Conlin is Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage Merchandising at Target. In this role, he leads Target’s ambitious Food & Beverage strategy and is responsible for all merchandising and buying activities, as well as the company’s owned brand food portfolio and sourcing operations.
Since joining Target in 2000, John has held numerous leadership positions across merchandising and digital businesses, leading a wide range of categories including Seasonal, Home, and Apparel. Prior to his current role, he served as Senior Vice President of Properties and new store development.
Beyond his responsibilities at Target, John serves on the Board of Directors for FMI – The Food Industry Association – and as an executive board member of Achieve Twin Cities, the strategic nonprofit partner of Minneapolis Public Schools. He recently joined the MBOLD Executive Council, a coalition focused on growing innovation in food & agriculture.
John earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.
