Jeremy Gosch serves as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Hy-Vee, Inc., one of the largest privately-owned companies in the U.S., with 70,000 employees across retail, healthcare, supply chain and technology. Gosch leads Hy-Vee’s mission of making lives easier, healthier and happier. Under his leadership, Hy-Vee has been nationally recognized as one of the Most Trustworthy Companies in America by Newsweek, as well as one of the top grocery stores in the nation by USA TODAY. Hy-Vee currently operates more than 540 retail business units across nine Midwestern states. Gosch originally joined Hy-Vee as a part-time clerk in 1995. During his more than 30-year career with Hy-Vee, he has managed stores, overseen retail regions and led companywide operations for the $14 billion retailer. In 2022, Gosch was named CEO and vice chairman of Hy-Vee, becoming only the fifth CEO in Hy-Vee history. In 2024, he was appointed chairman and CEO. Individually, Gosch has been named one of the Most Influential People in Retail Health by Drug Store News, and in 2024, was named Retail Leader of the Year by the Iowa Grocery Industry Association. Gosch currently serves as an executive committee director for FMI – The Food Industry Association and serves on the board of directors for the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA). He also served on the National Association of Chain Drug Stores (NACDS) board. Locally, Gosch serves as a member of the Iowa Business Council and as a member of the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
