Ben is Founder & Host of the GrocerTalk Podcast, a new podcast focused on insights, innovation, trends and technologies in the grocery retail sector.

GrocerTalk identifies the most important stories in global grocery each week that grocery executives should be paying attention to, and discusses the implications of the news & how it fits into the biggest trends in the grocery industry.

Ben is an independent retail analyst, specializing in the grocery sector, with nearly 30 years global industry experience that combines retailer central office roles, content creation and working for the leading industry event in the sector.

Ben held marketing, commercial and investor relation roles at Safeway; was Chief Content Officer for grocery research organisation IGD, and VP of Original Content at Shoptalk & Groceryshop, until he left in June 2026 to establish GrocerTalk. 

Ben lives in London, England, and splits his time between Europe and North America, as he has done for most of the previous two decades.
