Abhi Ramesh is the CEO and Founder of Misfits Market, the direct-to-consumer online platform that offers a better way to shop for better groceries. In 2018, at just 26 years old, Abhi founded Misfits Market and created a first-of-its-kind food value supply chain to reduce waste and make shopping for high-quality groceries easier and more affordable by partnering directly with farmers and producers to build a better food system. Serving hundreds of thousands of customers in nearly every ZIP code in the contiguous U.S., Misfits Market curates groceries for quality, nutrition, sustainability, and flavor, prioritizing impact over appearances. Since the company’s founding, it has saved over 265 million pounds of food and created a rescue revenue stream for farmers that has returned more than $125M in payments to its suppliers.

Abhi led the company through the acquisition of online grocers Imperfect Foods in 2022 and The Rounds in 2025, and has expanded Misfits Market well beyond direct-to-consumer grocery delivery. In 2024, he launched Fulfilled By Misfits, a B2B fulfillment solution that gives perishable brands access to Misfits Market’s nationwide storage, pick-and-pack, and delivery infrastructure; the business now handles fulfillment operations for meal kit companies Blue Apron and Marley Spoon. Abhi also founded Misfits Market Rx, the company’s food-as-medicine business arm, which works with healthcare partners and wellness organizations to deliver tailored food solutions that can scale quickly and are flexible by design.

An experienced entrepreneur, Abhi founded several startups before launching Misfits Market including TrendBent, Altair Prep, StoreTok, and Horizons School of Technology. Abhi holds a Bachelor of Science in economics and a Bachelor of Arts from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and has been recognized as a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and EY Entrepreneur of the Year for 2021.
