Groceryshop 2025 Speaker Resources
All presentation assets are due by Friday, August 29th, and they must be submitted via our presentation software system. We cannot accept any presentations via email. We will share the link to submit your assets, along with instructions on how to upload presentations in August. For immediate questions, please contact rosanna.chan@shoptalk.com.
Please see below for additional presentation information:
Presentation Specs
- PowerPoint and MP4 files may be used. We are NOT able to accept presentations in Keynote, PDF or Google Slides formats.
- IMPORTANT: Video files (.MP4 and .MOV) must be both embedded in the presentation AND uploaded as separate files.
- Design for high definition projection with 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.
- Specific font packages must be both embedded in the presentation AND sent directly to rosanna.chan@shoptalk.com.
- We will run all presentations on the conference computers, and cannot run presentations on personal laptops. Only PCs are available, supporting Powerpoint formats.
- If you are a Groceryshop sponsor, please do not refer to your booth number in your slides. We don't do any pay-to-play content at Groceryshop, and so ask that you keep your onstage role separate from your presence in the Exhibit Hall.
- No changes to presentations can be made onsite.
How to submit your presentation files:
Step 1: Please upload your files to Orchestrate using the specific link that have been created for you (you'll receive this via email in August).
Step 2: Locate the desired session where you wish to upload your presentation. Important: Label your presentation as NAME and DAY you are speaking.
Step 3: Click the “Upload” green button.
Step 4: Select the file(s) you’d like to upload, and click on “Open”.
Step 5: If your upload is successful, you will receive a pop up message indicating that the upload was successful and your files will appear listed under the appropriate session/presentation.
IMPORTANT: You must upload your presentation and video files as separate files.
Video and Audio File Support
Please see this article for file formats supported within PowerPoint.
Please consider compressing your videos. If you’ve authored your PowerPoint as a PPTX, there are tools within PowerPoint to do this automatically. Instructions are found here.
If you will be converting or authoring videos, we recommend H.264 encoding at less than a 5Mbps bitrate for best performance. Typical resolutions in the session room will be 1280x720 for 16:9 presentations. A 1080p, maximum bit rate encoding will bloat the size of your presentation with no visual improvement and may actually hurt performance. All videos must be embedded into your presentation and uploaded as separate files.
Considerations for custom fonts
We only supply fonts that are included with Office 2019. For a list, see this article. If your presentation includes a specialized font, it should be embedded into your PowerPoint presentation. Please send the custom font files to rosanna.chan@shoptalk.com as an attachment. Some licensed fonts may not embed and should be replaced with a font included with Office. Click here for an explanation of this process.
Thank You!
By following the guidelines above, we are confident that Freeman Orchestrate will ease the process of delivering your presentation. Should you have any questions not addressed in this document, please feel free to email: Orchestrate@freemanco.com.
