Peter brings a unique set of skills and experiences having led eCommerce on both the retailer side and supplier side of the equation. He has 12 years of experience as a retailer with Meijer and as a supplier with Kraft Foods and Mars Wrigley.
In his most recent role, Peter was head of Bricks and Click eCommerce at Mars Wrigley Confectionery. He built the business from the ground up, leading a newly designed digital organization calling on over 40 retailers in the digital space. Peter also designed and led the overall internal strategy for Bricks and Clicks to accelerate digital sales for brands such as M&M’s, Snickers, Dove Chocolate, Extra Gum, Skittles, and Life Savers.
Prior to Mars Wrigley, Peter led the work for Meijer’s click-and-collect service Curbside, including work on operational efficiency, supplier partnerships, construction, and business model rollout, and owned a key portion of the contract with Shipt – Meijer’s partner for home delivery.
Peter started his career at Kraft Foods, where he spent several years in category management, account sales, revenue management, and trade analytics. Peter’s major contribution was to lead the sales organization in creating and executing a new planning process and planning tool that was used by over 400 Kraft Employee’s organization-wide in the US and Canada. Peter is on faculty with the Path to Purchase Institute as a speaker and on the Advisory Board for the Digital Business Degree at Western Michigan University.
Peter triple majored in his undergraduate work with majors in advertising, marketing, and management earned from Northwood University. His master’s degree was concentrated in strategic management and was earned from Davenport University.
