Matt leads SpartanNash’s digital retail experience, ensuring their mobile apps, websites, and ecommerce replicate the exceptional customer experience of their physical stores. Conversely, his teams also bring the digital experience to the physical store, through digital signage, kiosks, and shopping tools. They oversee design, content management, merchandising, order fulfillment, and customer experience. Matt provides thought leadership, strategic alignment, maintains a healthy P&L, and fosters a culture of people first and excellence in execution.

Matt lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife (a fellow SpartanNash Associate) and son. He has 18 years of experience in the grocery industry and also holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Western Michigan University. When he is not working, you will likely find him traveling, exploring, and enjoying music.
