Katherine Black is a Partner in Kearney’s Consumer and Retail practice.  She joined Kearney in 2020 to lead efforts in developing and deploying growth strategies to retailers based on unique consumer insights, tools and solutions.

Katherine is well-versed in analytics and the power of data to drive results.  Prior to joining Kearney, she was a Partner at KPMG and spent 9 years at dunnhumby, the well-known retail advisor for customer analytics, personalization and loyalty, in executive leadership roles including Head of the UK and Ireland, General Manager for Apparel and Beauty sectors and Head of Solutions for Kroger.

Her earlier career was focused on analytics, loyalty and customer experience in financial services having spent time with Fifth Third Bank, Capital One and Wachovia.

Katherine has been recognized as a “Woman to Watch” by Retail Leader, 40 under 40 by DM News and a Customer Champion by Peppers and Rogers.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Goodwill NY/NJ and The Lion Tales Foundation. She is a frequent speaker and media contributor to outlets such as GroceryShop, NRF, GMA, Winsight Grocery, Forbes, Supermarket News, Footwear News and Women’s Wear Daily.

Katherine is originally from North Carolina and holds a BS in Business from Wake Forest. She now lives in New York.
