Claire Peters is the Vice President of Worldwide Amazon Fresh, where she leads a global team focused on making customers’ lives easier by providing a best-in-class grocery shopping experience, both in store and online. Claire joined Amazon in February 2023.

Prior to joining Amazon, Claire spent over 25 years in retailing across three continents (Europe, Asia, and Australia). Claire started her career as a Tesco Graduate in the UK, where she spent 17 years working in Retail Operations and Commercial, including a role as Chief Operating Officer in Thailand. Claire’s most recent roles have taken her to Australia, where she was the Managing Director for Woolworths Group Supermarkets from 2017 to 2021. Before joining Amazon, Claire was the Managing Director of B2B and Everyday Needs, which included Woolworths International business, non-food business, drinks business, and all acquisitions.

During her time in Australia, she was the chair of First Nations and Indigenous Affairs Board for Woolworths, a non-executive board member of PFD Food Services, and a member of Chief Executive Women. Claire earned a Bachelor of Science with a dual major in Economics and Sociology from Loughborough University in the UK.
