Amy McClellan is the Vice President of Fresh Merchandising at SpartanNash. Amy holds a key role in developing the long-term vision of Fresh product categories to ensure success for SpartanNash’s company-owned stores and independent customers. She is responsible for developing the overall product assortment strategy, delivering the highest quality products and introducing new solutions to meet and anticipate customers’ ever-changing appetites.

Most recently, Amy served as SVP, Retail Operations and Merchandising for Martin’s Super Markets and as Division Vice President, Retail for SpartanNash. Amy recently celebrated her 20-year service anniversary with Martin’s. She began as a part-time cashier at Martin’s in high school and has held various roles including Communications Specialist, Market Research Supervisor, Loyalty and Marketing Programs Manager, Director of Marketing and Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

She currently serves on the SpartanNash Foundation Board of Trustees, the Greater South Bend Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the United Fresh Produce Association Retail/Food Service Board of Directors.

Amy earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing and Advertising and MBA from Indiana University. In addition, Amy completed an executive certification program in Strategic Marketing Management at the University of Chicago. 

Outside of work, Amy is a certified group fitness instructor and enjoys teaching group fitness classes, traveling (especially to warm places) and a variety of lively adventures with her family.
