CEO, Ocado Solutions
Luke Jensen is the CEO of Ocado Solutions and an Executive Director of Ocado Group plc (OCDO, listed on the London Stock Exchange). Luke joined Ocado in 2017 and has led the rapid development of Ocado Solutions into a global leader in grocery e‐commerce technologies and fulfilment solutions.
Ocado Solutions has leveraged the unique technologies and robotic solutions developed by Ocado for its own highly successful e‐commerce operation in the UK (Sales ca$2bn) to bring world class capabilities to its clients around the globe. Partners include Kroger (US), Groupe Casino (France), Sobey’s (Canada), Morrisons (UK) and ICA (Sweden).
Prior to joining Ocado, Luke was a Senior Advisor at the Boston Consulting Group and a member of the firm’s Global Digital Retail & Consumer Task Force (2015‐17). Luke was previously (2008‐14) one of the leaders of Sainsbury’s (the UK’s #2 grocer) and a member of the company’s Operating Board (Executive Committee). He was part of the team that led the successful turnaround of the retailer where his roles included P&L responsibility for e‐ commerce (>$1.5bn) and the overall digitisation of Sainsbury’s. Prior to Sainsbury’s, Luke held successful roles as Partner & Head of Retail & Consumer at OC&C Strategy Consultants, and was also a founder and Director of M8 Group, a specialist multi‐category e‐commerce retailer based in Scotland.
Luke also sits on the Board of Hana Group, the leading international provider of in‐store fresh sushi operations. He also sat on the London Paralympics Legacy Committee which advised the UK Prime Minister and the Mayor of London on ensuring the legacy of the highly successful London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Luke is a British national who was born in France and speaks English, French and Spanish. He is a graduate of the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Paris and holds an MBA (Dean’s List) from Insead. He is married and has three children.
