Business Intelligence Manager, Alibaba Group
Jing Wang is a Business Intelligence Manager at Alibaba Group. Based in San Francisco, she works as an in-house research analyst, providing insights to the company’s various business units and managing industry analyst relations as part of the international corporate affairs team. She also contributes analysis about Alibaba to leading third-party research and consulting firms.
Wang was previously a research analyst at Fung Global Retail & Technology (FGRT), the knowledge bank and research division of the Fung Group, the parent company of global sourcing conglomerate Li & Fung. Her research there focused on US broadline and department store retailers and global retail innovation. Her bicultural background positioned her well to serve as the firm’s in-house expert on China business and innovation strategy and provide research and advice to FGRT’s Fortune 100 retailer clients and partners.
Wang’s research has been quoted by major media outlets such as Women’s Wear Daily, The Wall Street Journal, Sourcing Journal and CNBC. She has spoken at various industry forums and management meetings, including Li & Fung’s senior management conference, MakeUp in New York, ICSC’s RECon Asia-Pacific Conference, the Sourcing Journal Summit, the Urban Land Institute’s annual meeting, the RILA Retail Supply Chain Conference and CRE Finance Council events.
Wang holds a BA in Economics from Dickinson College and an MA in International Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies.
