Veena Giridhar



Veena Giridhar is the CEO and co-founder of Salesbeat. Salesbeat has an AI driven platform modelling consumer buying behaviour to eliminate lost sales due to out of stocks and write offs due to overstocking for CPG & retail companies. She has more than 20 years of experience in the CPG sector and has worked in senior roles that spanned finance, strategy, corporate development & sales. 

She has also set up manufacturing & sales subsidiaries for food & beverage companies in Sub-saharan Africa. She led the International Wine Sales team at Diageo to exceed targets (for the first time for international wine sales) and her last role as an employee was as Customer Team Director at Diageo leading Travel Retail sales in Continental Europe & Israel. 

Veena knows from her sales & her finance experience that sales is less about sales forecasts generated using last year's numbers and more about giving consumers what they want, when they want it. As consumer behaviour and lifestyles were undergoing significant changes in 2020, Salesbeat’s AI driven platform was launched to model consumer buying behaviour and make predictive recommendations of how much of each SKU to stock/sell.

She is also on the Board of Trustees of Alquity Transforming Lives Foundation and is an Executive Committee Member of INSEAD’s Balance in Business initiative. She is passionate about access to education, job creation in emerging markets and about diversity, equality & equity in businesses.
