Oskar Hjertonsson is the CEO and Cofounder of Cornershop, an Uber company, and Head of Uber Grocery and Global New Verticals. Cornershop currently powers Uber’s grocery offerings in Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Mexico, Peru and the United States and is also a standalone consumer application available on iOS and Android. 

Oskar co-founded and launched Cornershop in 2015 with friends Daniel Undurraga and Juan Pablo Cuevas in Mexico City and Chile. Prior to Uber’s investment, Cornershop quickly became a Latin American success story, refining app-based on-demand grocery delivery in Chile & Mexico before expanding across the Americas. After Uber’s acquisition of Cornershop in 2020, Oskar joined the delivery leadership team, where he oversees Uber’s global expansion of grocery and other expanded offerings. 

Oskar has been an entrepreneur since 2007 when he founded the consumer marketplace app Needish (acquired by Groupon) and Seahorse, Inc.  After Groupon’s acquisition of Needish in 2010, Oskar led the company’s Latin American business division. He studied at the University of Lund in Sweden.
