Monica McGurk

CEO, Tropicana Brands & Mainstream


Monica McGurk is a talent magnet and consumer champion in the pursuit of sustainable profitable growth.  As the CEO of the Tropicana and Mainstream Beverages Business Unit she helms the P&L for an iconic portfolio of beverage brands in North America. Monica brings three decades of experience to TBG and is a food industry veteran, most recently serving as the global Chief Growth Officer at Kellogg and previously holding critical senior P&L, commercial, and strategy positions at both Tyson Foods and The Coca-Cola Company. Additionally, she was the founding CEO of the analytics-driven startup, The Alumni Factor, and a partner at McKinsey & Company where she focused on the consumer and retail sectors.

Monica serves as an independent director on the Board of Directors of Pivot Bio, the nitrogen innovator. Pivot Bio’s proprietary technology unleashes nature to empower farmers to be more productive, profitable and sustainable. She also serves as an independent director for Bunge, a global leader in agribusiness, food and ingredients which connects farmers to consumers to deliver essential food, feed and fuel to the world. She previously served as an independent director on the board of MAA, an S&P 500 company and real estate investment trust (REIT) that develops, redevelops and manages apartment communities primarily throughout the Southeast, Southwest, and Mid-Atlantic regions of the United States. Her current volunteer service includes the Joffrey Women’s Board and The University of Florida’s National Parent Council.

Monica holds masters degrees in Business Administration and Education from Stanford University, as well as an A.B. in Government from Harvard. She holds an executive education certificate in Agribusiness from the Harvard Business School and a certificate on the Ethics of AI from University of Helsinki.  She lives in Winnetka with her husband Tom and has three children: John (17), Reagan (21), and Thomas (23). Monica’s personal passions include writing novels, promoting women’s issues, and talking her way into the kitchens of restaurants around the world.
