Mike Pierson has been named Chief Customer Officer of Sales Campbell Snacks in August 2021. Mike will lead the sales of the nearly $4 billion division of Campbell Snacks. Campbell Snacks includes over 200 unique and differentiated snack varieties in leading categories, including cookies, crackers, chips, pretzels, bakery and frozen. The portfolio includes Goldfish crackers, Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels, Late July tortilla chips, Kettle Brand potato chips, Cape Cod potato chips, Milano cookies, Pepperidge Farm cookies and bread, Lance crackers and more.  He reports to Valerie Oswalt, President, Campbell Snacks, and is a member of the Campbell Enterprise Leadership Team.

Prior to leading sales at Campbell Snacks, Mike Pierson was named Senior Vice President-Sales, US Campbell Meals & Beverages, in August 2019. Mike led all areas within the sales organization, inclusive of ecommerce, revenue management, and all front-line customer management and selling operations. He was responsible for a large team of dedicated associates across all U.S. retail classes of trade. 

With over 25 years of experience in the consumer products industry, Mike has garnered a dynamic set of skill sets and experiences, with key strengths in servant leadership, sales transformation, and value creation. He has served in sales leadership and strategy positions across a diverse list of companies and categories (Acosta, PepsiCo, Pepperidge Farm, Materne North America, etc.), gaining broad knowledge across winning national brands such as Gatorade, Quaker, Tropicana, Pepsi, Frito-Lay, GoGo SqueeZ, Pepperidge Farm, Goldfish, and most recently, Campbell. These broad experiences, combined with differences in category dynamics and route-to-market structures, have grounded him in finding unique solutions to complex business challenges. Mike is known as a strategic doer within the industry, bringing a strong entrepreneurial spirit to business and partnerships. 

Mike is passionate about people development, diversity, leadership, and mentoring talent and future leaders. He is the executive sponsor for Campbell’s Network of Executive Women and took pride in pioneering Campbell’s first Diversity and Inclusion Sales Council (DISC) in 2019. In addition, he serves on the Board of Governors for St. Joseph’s University Academy of Food Marketing. 

Mike earned his B.A. degree in philosophy from Saint Bonaventure University, where he also competed on the men’s Division I soccer team. 

Mike and his wife, Kristen, live in Villanova, Pa., with their four children, Carly, Gavin, Liam, and Owen.
