Heather Paquette is Vice President of the Retail Innovation Center of Excellence at Retail Business Services, the services company of leading grocery retail group Ahold Delhaize USA. Heather was appointed to the role in 2021 and has led the stand-up of the function, aimed at speeding up the delivery of in-store digital and technology solutions to enable retail brands deliver on their omnichannel ambitions. Her team sources, evaluates, prioritizes, tests, refines, deploys and scales innovation solutions that improve the associate and customer experience.  

Prior to joining Retail Business Services, Heather spent 22 years with Hannaford, serving in a variety of retail leadership roles from Assistant Store Manager to Vice President, Retail Operations and ultimately Vice President, Retail Services, where she led retail support functions such as payroll, asset protection, pharmacy, retail communications and operations support. Throughout her tenure, she also held roles in Marketing and Brand Management and led a cross-functional team to redefine the company’s business operating model in stores and markets. She started her career with Hannaford in 1999 as a Retail Management Trainee.  

Heather is widely recognized within the retail industry and a sought-after speaker. She has twice been named a Woman of Influence by the The Shelby/Griffin Report and was one of the publication’s "40 under 40." 

Heather attended the University of Southern Maine, where she earned a degree in Business Finance, and is a graduate of the NextUp (formerly Network of Executive Women) Institute program.  

Heather is a passionate supporter of the community and people. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Club of Southern Maine and serves as a Co-Chair for the United Way Tocqueville campaign. She is also the Executive Sponsor of Retail Business Service’s PRIDE+Allies Business Resource Group. 

Heather lives in Maine with her husband, Brian, and their two children, ages 14 and 12. She enjoys running and supporting her busy kids’ activities, such as their unique unicycling group.
