Dominique Essig

VP of Conversational Commerce

Dominique is a creative and passionate product and operations leader with more than 20 years of online experience both in North American and Global product management, customer experience, and software development.

Dominique oversees Conversational Commerce, one of the portfolio companies within Store No8, the incubation arm of Walmart. In this role she is responsible for all parts of Walmart’s conversational experiences including building out NLU-based conversational experiences on Voice and Text. Conversational Commerce is reimagining how families shop and manage their households.

Dom joined Walmart through Store No8’s acquisition of Bonobos, where she was the Chief Experience Officer. After Bonobos she took the role of Chief Product Officer of Jetblack, Store No8’s first portfolio company. Jetblack was built with the intent to test and build technology that could be used in other parts of the business, which led to a key insight – customers loved connecting with brands via Conversational Commerce, to save money, and time, in their busy lives.

Prior to joining Walmart, Dom was the VP of Product and User Experience at Gilt Group and spent 12 years leading product teams at Travelocity. Dominique graduated from Duke University where she also served as captain of their NCAA Women's Varsity Volleyball team. She currently lives in Westchester with her husband and two sons.
