Dan Park has 25+ years experience working in multi-billion-dollar customer facing retail and technology companies. His background spans the US military, strategy consulting, offline and on-line retail, B2C and B2B, leading global teams, and working at Fortune 50 to technology start-ups. Notably, he took BuildDirect from bankruptcy (inherited) to public listing on the TSX-V (BILD) in 3 years, and co-founded Amazon Business marketplace in 2015, now a global $25B+ revenue business. Most recently, Dan has taken the helm as CEO at Imperfect Foods.
Imperfect Foods is a direct-to-consumer grocery delivery service whose Mission is to eliminate food waste and build a better food system. Solving for this is the #1 way to combat Greenhouse Gasses and Climate Change. Last year alone, Imperfect saved over 44 million pounds of food by partnering directly with its vendors and farmers to sell fresh, unique, and delicious produce and grocery items to consumers who want to make a difference in saving the planet. As a certified B Corp, Imperfect focuses on building a mission oriented, financially successful company, while creating value for its employees and the communities that it serves.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with distinction from West Point and a Master’s of Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family (wife, 7 year old son, 2 year old daughter) and friends, biking, exercising, volunteering, and just recently, relocating back to the Washington, D.C. area after 5 years in Vancouver, Canada.
