Co-Founder & Chief Business Officer, Bossa Nova Robotics
Martin Hitch is the chief business officer at Bossa Nova Robotics. As CBO, Martin is responsible for Bossa Nova’s future growth including global business partnerships, its customers and its go-to-market strategies.
Previously, Martin served as Bossa Nova’s CEO for over eight years establishing the company as a technology innovator through the development of fast running robots for kids and the first cloud-connected kids’ robots. In 2012, Martin oversaw Bossa Nova’s pivot from consumer products to service robots, establishing a new category of automation for the retail industry and as the cutting-edge global retail service and data provider.
Prior to Bossa Nova, Martin was VP of sales and business development at Ugobe, the makers of Pleo, a ground-breaking personal robot. Pleo was successfully launched in more than a dozen countries.
Martin has spent ten years in executive roles in the children’s entertainment industry with Mattel (UK), Hasbro and MGA entertainment where he worked on international distribution partnerships and as a supplier to the big box retailers that Bossa Nova now serves.
Martin won Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award (Western PA, VA) in 2011.
