David brings over 25 years of business experience spanning both the client and agency sides to Magid. His expertise includes the development, application and activation of insights to drive business growth and efficiencies. David began his career with Nielsen Marketing Research as an active proponent in Category Management, working on behalf of numerous CPG clients in the development of category reviews, SKU optimization, promotional evaluation and merchandising.
While on the client side, David developed and launched products generating over $250 million. He worked for Tropicana Products in both sales planning and channel marketing. At Abbott Laboratories Consumer Products Division, David collaborated with several leading retailers on promotional plans and local marketing initiatives, including one of the very first retailer loyalty programs. He also developed and launched a private label line for Walmart’s Equate brand.
David’s functional experience includes business planning, strategy, marketing, sales and new product development. On behalf of many of the world’s best-known brands, he has provided consulting and research services, including marketing fundamentals, customer experience, innovation and due diligence for mergers and acquisitions.
David graduated from Vanderbilt University with degrees in HR/Organizational Development and Fitness/Exercise Science. He also holds an MBA from The Ohio State University. David has previously spoken at IIEX and has been quoted in Forbes and Happi Magazine.
